Climate change is not just a global issue—it is a daily reality for women farmers across Tanzania. Unpredictable rains, degrading soils, new pests, and crop failures threaten both their harvests and their hopes. Yet, for many of these women, access to reliable agronomic knowledge and tools has been out of reach.
Her Farm Her Story is changing that. Through tailored digital farm management tools and hands-on agronomic training, we are equipping women with the knowledge they need to make smart, sustainable decisions based on their specific crops, soil types, and local climate conditions.
This is not generic training. It’s personalized, practical, and local. ✅ Women are learning when and how to apply organic manure, not just chemical inputs ✅ They’re discovering the value of crop rotation, soil testing, water conservation, and integrated pest management ✅ They are using mobile tools—some for the very first time—to access seasonal advice and monitor their farms ✅ And they’re gaining the confidence to experiment, adapt, and teach others
And the results are already showing: 57.5% of women in the program have adopted new sustainable farming practices since joining. That means hundreds of farmers are now working with nature, not against it—and seeing better results in yields, soil health, and resilience. Every time a woman learns to conserve moisture during a drought, or applies organic inputs that restore her soil, or switches to a drought-resistant crop, she’s not just protecting her farm—she’s securing her future.
