Expanding Land Access

Using a lease-to-own model, MazaoHub facilitates partnerships with landowners to secure plots that women can farm and eventually own-providing a foundation for long-term investment and autonomy.

Expanding Land Access

One of the deepest injustices faced by women in agriculture is the lack of land ownership. For generations, women have toiled on land they don’t own, investing time, labor, and love—only to be excluded when it comes to ownership, decision-making, and profit.

That’s why Her Farm Her Story, through MazaoHub, introduced a bold solution: the lease-to-own land model. Using this model, we partner with landowners to secure plots that are leased directly to women farmers—with a clear, structured pathway for these women to eventually own the land themselves.

Today, we have 36 women actively enrolled in this program. And behind that number are powerful stories of change: ✅ Women who have never held a title deed in their name are now on the path to land ownership. ✅ They can plan long-term, plant high-value crops, and invest in soil health—because they know the land will soon be theirs. ✅ They are no longer invisible. With the promise of ownership, they’re recognized by their communities, banks, and local leaders as legitimate farmers and landholders. ✅ They gain autonomy—no longer asking for permission to farm, sell, or grow. Instead, they are building farms with confidence, purpose, and vision.

This isn’t just about farming—it’s about dignity, stability, and economic freedom. Owning land means women can leave behind uncertainty and step into generational legacy. It means their daughters will inherit more than just land—they will inherit power, identity, and opportunity.

With each woman enrolled, Her Farm Her Story is chipping away at land injustice and laying a foundation for true, lasting empowerment.
